Understanding sugar results text of blood, I am weak? Hello everyone
My brother is diabetic and he got a new testing kit and he gave me his old (and about 10 test strips)
I tested my blood (what's really evil!) And I do not understand the results.
Day 1: 1.8 ml
Day 2: 2.2 ml
and today I was back to 1.9 mL.
What does this mean? My brother always comes 6, 7 or 8 ... What's normal?
Thank you!
If the test strips are not in the container they come they are probably no good and that could explain the low values.
They must be stored in containers and should not be used on a certain temperature. There is a leaflet in the box and also an owner's manual for the meter that tells you all this.
In addition, the meter must be coded for the test strips, and you may return it to the wrong code.
Ask your brother to check the code for you and to save the last 10 tapes of his next bottle for you to use. Give him about $ 10 to cover it, (they cost about a dollar each, they are at least where I live).
Make sure you do not smear the blood before putting it on the test strips, because it can ruin your results too. Make sure your hands are clean and dry before the test.
If these things make no difference, ask them to check your blood for you and see if it has a different reading. If not, then perhaps the old meter is no longer good.
Oh, and check the battery, it may need to be replaced.
NOT normal for a diabetic usually between 3.5 and 7
Do you mean 1.8mmol, 2.2mmol and 1.9mmol? All these figures are quite low. The normal is approx. 4-7 mmol. Are you sure that you use the drive properly? On some meters, you must code the meter. In the box / bottle of strips there should be a number (usually a number between 1-50) that you need to set the counter to ... ask your brother about it ... Do you have symptoms of hypoglycemia? Sweating, hunger, confusion, and the quake are the symptoms
FYI: People who give you aprox 70-110 for normal blood sugar are the United States. Theres two ways to measure blood glucose. United Kingdom and Canada use mmol ... U.S. uses mg / dl. 1.8mmol = 32mg/dl, 40mg/dl = 2.2mmol, 1.9 = 34mg/dl. 4-7 mmol = 72-126mg/dl
you just another method of testing blood that most people simply multiply by 18 to start, but how we see lettttss
You must be wrong because testing is very low, as very low ask your brother to help you because 6 7 or 8 is about normal maybe 5 but certainly not two
My glucometer gives me numbers like 100, 140, and not 1.8 ml. Ask your doctor to test the next time you go. If your brother is diabetic, it is possible that you will be too.
well maybe you should ask your brother or Docter unless he does not understand, but mine usually says figures like 80 or 120 or even 110.
you normally do.
Much too low, the meter can not be repaired.
