Beyond The Twilight Vampires Opinions vary widely on the phenomenon known as the Twilight Saga. In sharing mine, I will focus specifically on the books. Regarding the film Twilight, simply saying they are willing to try "to bring visions of Stephenie Meyer's life. Love them or hate them, they are what they are. If ticket sales are any indication, they seem to have mass appeal, notwithstanding vampire purists.
As for me, I liked the first two films and look forward to the next two. But I've loved for what I expected to be. interpretations of others, compressed in the shortened Hollywood, subtle details and sometimes poignant avoided in the interest of the glory of the box office. Mission accomplished.
Having never heard of Twilight or saw the movie when I took the book, I entered the world Forks with an open mind and without preconceived ideas. I just thought I was reading another story of a vampire - complete with fangs, blood and run a new author on some of the legendary aspects that we expect.
What do I have less than four chapters, was a surprise tongue-in-cheek. Instead of my tale creatures of darkness waiting to feed on our fears, I found myself knee-deep in a sort of adolescence, the social misfit story told in first person. A teenager. I considered the book aside more than once. This is not my usual fare.
Fortunately, my curiosity kept me reading. Like millions of others around the world, I was sucked into the drama of high school Bella Swan, a clumsy outcast find his first love, in the form of man can not acquire another. Edward Cullen was the beautiful boy, the idol of girls is different and irresistibly desirable secretly. Its status and found initial repulsion of the presence of Bella was enough to keep me reading. Like everyone, I wanted to know why.
Twilight has been publicly misunderstood as a vampire story. In reality, it is a love story. The simple girl with doubts and insecurities typical meets what seems to be the ultimate but unattainable object of his affections uncertain. Stephenie Meyer uses this platform to launch a romantic tale that includes wide suspense and fantastic as a backdrop for the passion not Bella. "
Accordingly, you are enjoying a story well plotted relationship that proves to involve vampires. Meyer tale is so simple, but compelling, that I found the command for the next three volumes before completing the first.
Bella Swan is the daughter-daughter all in circumstances beyond his control, grappling with his discovery of Edward Cullen and his family - and what they are. Torn between natural fears of vampires are common dangers and the overwhelming attraction created by the mere presence of Edward, Bella has the attraction of an infinite love. Who can blame him? A dangerous life with the perfect boy or the existence of a dull person among adolescents.
Vampire purists have openly hurt Stephenie Meyer versions of creatures fangs. In fact, the Twilight vampires do not even have fangs. Crocs are never mentioned. Only the teeth coated with venom. And while Meyer continues to offer other twists on traditional customs vampire core attractions are still there. The romance of immortality. Mental abilities and superhuman qualities that vampires to magnetic mere humans. For those who claim it has tarnished the genre, Get Real. Vampires are the product of fantasy and folklore. It is fair to the artist to be creative and imaginative.
To this end, Stephenie Meyer has succeeded, giving us a heartbreaking love story and unforgettable characters. Twilight deserves his iconic status in pop culture.
