Twilight Contact Boxes

The Box is a horror movie science fiction in 2009 on the basis of the short story of 1970 "Button, Button" by Richard Matheson, which has already been adapted into an episode of the 1980s incarnation, The Twilight Zone . The film is written and directed by Richard Kelly and stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden as a couple who receives a box containing a mysterious man who offers them a million dollars if they press the button sealed in the dome on above the box. Film Production began in November 2007 and concluded in February 2008.

The film begins with an internal memo from the CIA to be typed on the screen. It states that a man named Arlington Steward has recovered from serious injuries and burns delivering units linked to the project in March.

The film opens in 1976 with Norma and Arthur Lewis cuddling in bed after a night of passionate love (this scene was deleted from projections in North America to comply with a notice PG13), and the clock at 5:45 doorbell rings. Norma down and looked through the peephole to see a black car chase. When opening the door, she saw a package on his door. Inside, she and her husband to find a wooden box with a button protected by a glass dome, locked, and a note reading Mr. Steward will come at 5:00 pm.

Arthur goes to work at NASA, where he worked in optics, and helped design the camera from the Viking spacecraft on Mars. It is because he has no psychological examination, he was dismissed from the astronaut program in spite of good test scores and glowing recommendations. Norma goes to work as a teacher in a private school elite educational literature, where they discuss Sartre's vision of hell. One of his remarks on the box to students, after which it shows his class disfigured right foot, missing four toes. Later that day Norma returns home and confesses his fear of losing their homes because of lack of money. That's when Stewart Arlington appears on their doorstep. Norma looks at the clock and realizes it is 5:00 pm.

Arlington offers them a million dollars if they press the button sealed in the dome. The problem is that someone they do not know will die. Norma and Arthur consider whether or not they would be able to cope with the death of someone on their hands. After much discussion about whether or not they should press the button, and a few touches with the box (Arthur finds nothing inside), Norma suddenly jerks forward and knocks.

Arlington returns and presents Norma and Arthur with the millions of dollars, without asking if they pressed the button or not. He informed the couple that receives the following offer, they will surely not know, which means that when the people next, press the button, one of them, or their son, would be at risk. Arthur, after the storms Arlington and tries to return the million, but Arlington starts.

A call to 911 is shown, where someone was killed. The police enter the house and found a woman shot in the heart, and a little girl locked in the bathroom upstairs.

Arthur and Norma, and then attend a rehearsal dinner the wedding, where Arthur is charged with selecting a gift table. A student of Norma, who prompted her to reveal her disfigurement, holds up two fingers to Arthur. Arthur then see a box a bit like the left at their door with the key in it, and that one chooses. He and Norma find an image of poor quality in Arlington.

Norma's sister, said Arthur Arthur saw that the student was the one who laughed at the foot of his wife. " Arthur meets and asks the father of Norma (who is a police officer) to run the registration number of the car in Arlington. Norma received a phone call (she is informed by one boy whose nose begins.
