Oslo

Capital of the beautiful and wild Norway, Oslo is a relaxed city with lots to see and do.

Transportation: Getting there and around

Oslo is well connected my air in Europe and North America. The international airport is located at Gardermoen, 30 miles north of the city. Bus services connecting Oslo with other Scandinavian countries, Germany and Russia. There are ferries between Oslo and other Scandinavian countries and the United Kingdom and Germany, and trains link Oslo with Stockholm, Copenhagen, Hamburg and London.

Getting around in Oslo is a snap because of its efficient subway line and buses, trams, taxis and ferries on the fjord. Oslo is a compact city so walking is a good option.

Climate

Compared to the rest of Scandinavia, the time of Oslo is relatively benign. May to September offers long sunny days with temperatures around 16 C and above. Its coastal location exposes them to rain, however. Winter is a time of freezing cold with the mercury hitting a C in the south where the Gulf Stream keeps the coastal areas of icing. Stockholm

Stockholm is a dream city parks and rivers, churches, gardens, museums, palaces and castles. It is a lively place too, with a cast and a cosmopolitan sea due to a large immigrant populations.

Airport Stockholm-Arlanda is 28 miles north of the city. intercity use Cityterminalen which is located next Centralstationen. From there, direct trains link Copenhagen Stockholm, Osla, Storlien (for Trondheim) and Narvik. Ferries are also available in Helsinki and Turku.

Climate
Sweden's northern location results in a temperate climate. Rain is frequent throughout the year. Summer is pleasant in Stockholm with an average of nine hours of sunshine per day between May and July. The winters are much less pleasant to be chill dark and often snowy. Temperatures averaged 1 ° C between January and March and 16 C from July to August
