Neca Twilight

Let's face it, New Moon merchandise is everywhere now. In every store and on every site you visit, there are New Moon goods face you if you like vampires glitter or not. Although some of us still feel no connection with the Twilight series (I put it to be well outside the target demographic more than anything else), I must admit that NECA, always a good barometer of current trends in memories license, have outdone themselves this time.

When the beach was on the shelves to commemorate the first Twilight movie was a little thin, the selection available for New Moon is anything but. The term "corner the market" comes to mind, and you know what? Good luck to them. I am personally not a fan Twilight. I'm not. I understand that this is a huge phenomenon in books, movies and licensed products now, and that to be honest, I must applaud.

It was the same with the Harry Potter series. I wasn'ta fan, but I was very impressed that so many kids going and adolescents to open a book from time to time, as many of these children would then discover other books and authors they would love and cherish. As the public begins to age main Twilight, they move on books by Charlaine Harris, for example. In return, they may discover the vampire novels of Anne Rice as they progress through adolescence, and as they leave their teens there is still more to discover authors they'll love. The series of S. Paris Immortal Roiter, novels Werecat Rachel Vincent, and a number of other different urban fantasy writers.

That's basically the same with movies, because once the well has dried up for the free Twilight fans we hope to move to a better appreciation of things like The Lost Boys or hunger. It is already seen in the world of television in public more and more to the series True Blood, based on the novels by Charlaine Harris above.

The New Moon merchandise which is available has been designed to capture this market very volatile, and the results are quite impressive. There are things that fans of all ages can enjoy, such as calendars or posters, and then there are various other collectibles perfect for young fans, serious collector to the end of the spectrum. It is a most fascinating thing to watch unfold, and as long as children and adolescents are being introduced to books, so it's perfect.
