What causes increased + protein in the urine of blood pressure and other ovbious? What foods / medicines for blood pressure, etc. due to increase?
What are the causes of protein in urine?
I had 2 + on a urine test and my blood pressure is higher than usual. I am 38 weeks pregnant and I know these are symptoms of preeclampsia. What I'm looking for reasons not obvious to the proteins in urine + blood pressure to rise. I heard caffeine can make blood pressure rises. Anyone else think? Maybe eating lots of protein because protein in the urine?
Do not tell me to go to the doctor because I did. I work with my doctor. Just want more opinions. =)
Eating too much protein would only cause a problem if you ate more protein in a short period of time than you usually eat in one week. We are talking huge quantities! The same goes for caffeine.
Food, none that I know will cause a rise in blood pressure beyond the excess salt (not had a taste of Marmite, I suppose?)
Stress can cause an increase, but I really can not come with clearly not.
