Angel left "Buffy" at the end of season 3, when his show started at the same time as' Buffy Season 4.

When they were first aired on television, each episode of "Angel" was shown immediately after each episode of "Buffy", so it makes more sense if you look at the first episode of "Buffy Season '4 then look the first episode of "Angel Season '1, etc.

If you mean chronologically, then Angel moves to Los Angeles at the end of Season 4 Buffy I think there are millions of Buffy-ites who will probably exact episode, but I think it is the Season 4.

At the end of the last episode of season 4 of Buffy the Vampire cons, Angel leaves and that's when the series begins.
